The Most Asked About Spoke – Part 2

After completing the last blog we did on the ever popular topic of marketing, it became apparent there were more basics we could share with you on this particular Wheel of Business “Spoke”. Besides the concept of “Base Hits” we shared last time, we always emphasize the need for “Strong Foundational Marketing”. We’re going to try a bit of a different style here and show what we mean by this through using several images rather than words.

First, what do we mean by the word “Foundational”? Well, let’s put it this way … when it comes to a “dream home”, what many people envision and would like to have is something like this:

People naturally envision the beauty and what many would refer to as the “Curb Appeal”. It’s the

visible end-result. It’s kind of like in business: people tend to hope for a certain end-result. Of course, very few people really pay attention to the following aspect of such a home structure (or a business):

It’s the foundation! The base upon which all else is built. If we want a solid, stable and long-lasting structure (or business) a healthy, strong and well-built foundation is critical. Here’s what you NEVER want to see in your foundation …

A cracked, un-healthy and un-stable foundation stresses the rest of the structure. Eventually, damage, imbalance and other noticeable ill- effects occur. This is true in a structure like a home OR an organization like a wellness care clinic. And results like the following are NOT cool! …

Do you feel like your business results are struggling in some way? Is your “home” (aka your practice) towering a bit? If so, it’s likely because of a poor, un-healthy and un-stable foundation. So, let’s consider some of what we’ve found to be key blocks for a healthy marketing foundation.

Another way to state this first foundational “block” is this: Always Market on MISSION! You have to have a strong DESIRE to make a difference. Napolean Hill summed this required block up very well with this statement:

“The starting point of all achievement is desire.

Keep this constantly in mind.

Weak desires bring weak results, just as a small amount of fire makes a small amount of heat.”


Desire Builds the Fire!

How bad do YOU want to help those you serve? How intensely do you desire to help your community? Are you ON FIRE for what you do? The TRUTH is this:

WHAT you do does not matter nearly s much as WHY you do it!
